Making language file

You can translate the program for any language with only a text editor. There are a few files which can be translated. No program modifications required.

If You are translating the texts, follow the instructions below.

1. Collecting file to translate

There are several files which have to be translated for the complete solution.

These files (except the help files) are downloaded here in a package. If You are encouraged to translate the help file, send me a mail to receive them.

2. Translate the *.lng files

You can use any text editor for this work. My favourite is TextPad.

Language files have very simple structure. The first 5 characters are the text identifier (with leading spaces), followed by a space. The rest of the line is the text, which can be modified. Don't change the identifier, only the text. The lines beginning with comma (;) are comments.

You have to preserve all non-word elements in the text, such as formatting control sequences (%s, %d, \n, etc.), list delimiters ( vertical bar ), menu or dialog text hotkey character (&).

3. Use the translated *.lng file

Copy the language file into the program directory. Now You can switch your language with the Tools/Language menu.

4. Translate the readme files

There are no restrictions for translation of the readme files.

5. Sending translated files back to the author

Please, send the file to me. This way the tanslation will be available for other observers.
